Rueda Curriculum

The leaders are asked to lead with their body and frame linear, side and rotational. We do exercises and drills to improve leading. The followers are asked to keep time and move according to how they are lead linear, side or rotational. We do exercises and drills to work on this. Everybody is asked to dance every step with energy and feel the music.

Moves and calls will be explained in detail. We will set up boards and make DVD’s. You are encouraged to tape the moves at the end of class so you can practice them afterwards.

The curriculum will be updated periodically and moves will continuously be added, especially fun moves and group moves.

This Month's Curriculum

A message from Joseph:

We will begin each week with review and questions from the previous week. Constant emphasis with exercises on keeping the beat and moving or tapping on each beat.

Week 4 - Con las Manos, Balsero and Cadeneta (Group Move)

Week 1 - Dedo, Siete and Siete Moderno
Week 2 - Vacilala Dame, Balsero and Montana
Week 3 - Uno y Dos (with variations), Abanico and Serrucho
Week 4 - Cadeneta, Deep Dip and Vacilala Sientate
