
Bachata originated from the Dominican Republic. This dance is a four-step beat achieved with a walking Cuban hip motion, and a unique “pop”. It is performed both in open position and in closed position depending on the setting and mood of the partners.
This four week series focuses on the basic footwork, simple traveling turns, and basic hip action of this beautiful slow and sexy Latin dance.
Combines all of the elements learned in part 1 into fun amalgamations.
Introduces Dominican styling elements with rhythm changes into more intricate combinations. This will surely make any dancer well prepared for the club!
